Remove A Paint Mark Off Of My Car Door

Remove a Paint Mark Off of My Car Door

Whether it's from something that the car has bumped into or something that spilled, unwanted paint marks can create a major eyesore on a vehicle. Regular soap and water won't wash this mark away, so alternative methods need to be incorporated. There are several proven methods that can remove paint marks from cars that won't require too much time and energy and will prevent a costly trip to the body shop.

Instructions

1. Dampen a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and gently scrub the unwanted paint away. Be careful not to apply too much pressure as this can affect the paint that's supposed to be there.

2. Wipe Goof-Off on the paint with a clean soft dry cloth. Be sure not to rub the Goof-Off into the stain. Gently wipe and the paint should come off. Wipe the area clean with a soft clean dry cloth.

3. Apply lacquer paint thinner to a clean, soft cloth and gently rub away the paint mark. Wipe the area dry and apply wax with a separate clean, dry cloth to the area once it is clean.

4. Apply rubbing compound to a clean soft dry cloth and rub the stain away.

5. Wipe the paint mark away with rubbing alcohol and a clean nonabrasive cloth.
