Use Color Glaze

Color glaze is an inexpensive way to boost your hair color.

Hair color glaze reduces fading to your color treated hair. After color treating your hair, a stylist may add a color glaze to seal the color into each hair strand to make it last longer. If your hair color begins to fade or becomes dull, applying a color glaze can postpone further fading and make your color bright and glossy. Color glaze can also add shine to your natural hair color. There are many over the counter color glazes that can easily boost your color for half the price of a salon visit.

Instructions

1. Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo while gently massaging your scalp. Scalp massages help release your hair's natural oils. Moisturizing products and natural oils rehydrates color treated hair to keep it strong and healthy. Rinse thoroughly.

2. Work a moisturizing conditioner through your hair from roots to ends. Leave the conditioner on for 3 minutes to help rehydrate your hair. Rinse well.

3. Add the color glaze to your hair. Work it through your strands in the same manner as normal shampooing. Leave the color glaze on for a full 3 minutes, and then rinse.
