Style Medium Hair

Medium hair length hair does not require the extensive styling time of shorter or longer styles. It is short enough to be easy to wash and care for, yet has more creative styling options than a shorter cropped ‘do. Try these simple styles as an antidote to the everyday pony tail or straight look. You will need a good smoothing serum to help you style like a pro.

Instructions

1. Pull hair into a low bun. Pull hair into a low ponytail, allowing the shorter tendrils to frame the face. Twist the pony tail and coil it around the base of the tail clockwise. Secure the bun with a few bobbypins.

2. Put a unique twist on the ponytail. Apply a smoothing serum to your hair. Backcomb hair from the bottom to the top of the crown for volume. Smooth the hair on top. Pull your hair into a gentle side pony tail. If you’d like, you can leave out a piece of hair to wrap around the elastic band. Secure with a bobby pin.

3. Coil the hair with smoothing serum to get naturally tousled waves. Shampoo your hair. Comb and allow to air dry. Put smoothing serum in the palm of your hand and work into your hair, completing one side at a time. Coil one half of your hair as if you were twisted pig tail. Keep coiling the hair and allowing it to fall loosely. Repeat on the other side.

4. Twist your hair up into a messy bun, using a chopstick or hair stick to hold in place.
