Web Design Courses In New Hampshire

Web designers build websites.

Web designers create the webpages that appear on the Internet. Sometimes they are tasked with creating graphics or illustrations, while at other times their primary concern is the architecture of the website. While there are software programs to assist in website creation, many professionals use or at least understand the basic languages of the internet, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) or Extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML). Web design courses for beginning and intermediate students are available at multiple locations in New Hampshire.

NHTI

According to its website, NHTI is the sole community college in New Hampshire that offers dormitories, intercollegiate athletics, a student center and a campus housed in multiple buildings. Located in Concord, NHTI also offers students organizations and clubs, cultural events, community service opportunities health services and student counseling.

As of 2010, NHTI offers two web design courses. The first, web design and development, gives students an overview of the basics of graphic design as it relates to the web. Students learn about website planning and testing, page layout, website navigation and web hosting. Other topics include color and images, website marketing and legal issues. Students in this course design, develop and publish their own websites.

Web design and development II continues where the first course leaves off. Students learn to create animation, develop interactive websites and add sound. Projects include creating an animated website with audio. Class participants also learn to publish multimedia sites, create drop-down menus and study vector graphics.
